Life Advice

Winters in Lotus can be a little dull if we don’t actively work on spicing life up a little. So, tonight we decided to take the usual Grey’s Anatomy obsession to Timmy and Patso’s house. Timmy and Patso are old-time ECHO guides who have some of the greatest guiding stories I’ve ever heard. We started going to their house to watch sporting events. They made the mistake of offering their home and jacuzzi anytime we want and now they can’t get rid of us. I look up to both of them a great deal, their outlooks on life, parenting style, careers, and I’d consider myself damn lucky to lead a similar path in my own life.

Well, I’m at a fork in the road (it always seems like I’m at a fork) and some days the path seems so clear, but then I go right back to thinking I want to be a gypsy for a little longer. I was talking to Timmy about it the other day and he said, “If I’d known things were going to turn out the way they have, I would’ve worried less, guided longer, and drank more scotch. That’s my advice to you: drink more scotch.” I found this particularly entertaining from someone who’s stories of the past don’t reveal very high stress levels, but I’m mulling it over regardless.
