Bike Ride: Ice House Road to Wrights Lake

August 24, 2007 at 11:28 pm (Cycling)

Natalie, Adrienne, and I did a beautiful ride up Ice House Road to Wrights Lake which is 42 miles round trip. It’s mostly all uphill for the first 21 miles, but it’s fairly gradual. We rode on a Friday and we didn’t leave until noon, so there were more cars and way too many logging trucks. Once we got up to the lake, it was well worth all the hard work. We swam and enjoyed the moderately warm water.  There is running water at the campground as well to fill up water bottles. Very few cars passed us on the way down and the traffic has subsided quite a bit.
